The date was December 22nd, 2007.  A Saturday.  And, with shoddy Christmas lights marking the location we began a party that would be remembered by some as epic, and others not at all.

Thanks to Brian’s sister Kelly, we had a beautiful cake to enjoy.  Kelly is a professional cake decorator so it is no surprise that we had such a nice cake! 

Of course no cake would be complete without a candle.  Unfortunately for the completeness of this cake, we had no candles.  So, ever cool under pressure, I did the only reasonable thing and used a barbecue lighter as a candle.

  Just be thankful that I didn’t stick the stupid thing into the cake.

Here, we decided to cut the cake.  As you know, picking just the right spot to make the first slice is crucial.

After the cake was cut, it was time for presents.  Needless to say, I was shocked by many of my gifts!  Thanks everyone!  Here’s an actual photo of me opening a present.  Let me assure you that this wasn’t at all posed.

After presents it was time to attend to more important matters.  In fact most of the time after that seemed to be devoted to just taking pictures to use on next year’s party invitations.  These two pictures are definitely front-runners for all future promotional materials.

With that, I bid you wait for the next installment.  There are just so many pictures, that it seems a bit overwhelming to put them all in one entry.  So, this is the natural split.  This is the blog that you want to show your kids.   Good clean fun, nothing too exciting, just some beautiful people having a good time.  In the next installment, we dig a bit deeper into the annual birthday bash’s seedy underbelly.  The West Hollywood to this blog’s Brentwood.  Check back soon…
